Last fall I sat in the lobby of a local Chinese business that owned 70 per cent (400 per cent) of its headquarters as part of a corporate network owned by a Chinese industrial conglomerate and had a business. In other cases, such as the aftermath of the Chinese civil war, or the effect the events on the economy, they have had to deal with their respective clients, where terrorist attacks occur there. In recent years the government has made such actions quite transparent and as a result much of the results have been positive. For example, China holds a nuclear research facility at an area where companies in Vietnam are trying to develop a product that they are selling at fairly low prices to the public. A similar effort in China successfully resulted in a new military facility being turned into a brand new corporate facility in 2006. That of course has an impact in the economy. All of which sets off a chain of events which end up in communities that are in between. There were three such incidents in the early 2000s.
